The End...

OR IS IT?

It's actually only supposed to be around 5 pm on this page -- werewolf tales never seem to take into account how the moon often comes out during the day.

AHHH THE EYEBALL

That was gruesome and awesome. Was her dad like, a demon that lived in the necklace or did he leave her the necklace because he knew it had something in it that would protect her?

HABE, July 27th, 2011, 11:55 pm

I'd hoped to imply that something about the necklace inhibits a lycanthrope's transformation (keeping the family curse in check when it intermittently appears).

But as long as the gruesomeness comes across I'm happy.

Cannetella, July 28th, 2011, 12:44 am

Yes, that's what I thought it was!
Very clever.
^_^

WarriorNun, July 28th, 2011, 7:03 pm

Lesson learned: Never mess with a werewolf that is about to wake up

James Birdsong, July 28th, 2011, 10:42 pm

Clever. And yes it wasn't until this page we find out what killed those girls and your explanation as to who killed them and why.

silky_star (Guest), July 29th, 2011, 3:06 am

so the wolf was kallysta? sorry i'm kinda slow O ^ O

Fang Shinobi, July 31st, 2011, 8:46 am

One simple lesson: don't bully others and steal their things.

HABE, July 31st, 2011, 11:03 am

And hopefully one complex one: Holding on to past hurts or fresh grudges can destroy you.

LordNekoFuffy, August 11th, 2011, 11:24 pm

So what is this story even about???
was the cross a seal too keep the monster in her? is the monster something that escaped from the cross when it was broken?

The_Hankerchief, August 26th, 2011, 6:09 am

For those unfamiliar with werewolf lore, silver is their weakness. (Often times, you'll hear they can only be killed with a silver bullet, sword or other silver-related item). Remember how one of the girls mentioned that Kallysta's necklace was silver? She probably kept it on to keep the beast within her in check.

All things aside, wonderfully written comic you have here, HABE. Be proud! Be very proud!

I randomly went back a few pages to reread this one, and just noticed that "Or is it?" link
THANKS FOR THE HEART ATTACK D:

Perhaps I am wrong, but I don't think that the full moon CAN come out during the day. The moon's phases are based on its angle to the sun, so when it is full, it is completely on the nighttime side of the earth. However, since werewolf stories vary, I am sure that it could be a gibbous moon. Or an early sunset.

HABE, October 6th, 2011, 8:36 pm

Yeah. I figure ya gotta count anything higher than 95% as full or werewolf stories would be kinda dull one-night stands. That's probably why the old stories say the curse comes on the three days of the full moon.

can eyes slip under the door? AHAHA sorry I just wodnered.

Also I thought at first her dad was actually dead and like HAUNTED the necklace or something...but hm. this makes sense as well. XD

SolarTheCat, October 22nd, 2011, 2:13 pm

Dere be an ayeball rite thar.

The_Hankerchief, October 28th, 2011, 2:28 am

By the way, I though about it, and I can no longer resist saying it:

"There's a she-wolf in the closet,
open up and set her free (Arooo!)
There's a she-wolf in the closet,
let it out so it can breathe!"

Hehe, Shakira.

HABE, October 28th, 2011, 2:41 am

Excellent. I'll include in on the movie soundtrack :D

mananabiscuit, November 27th, 2011, 12:06 am

Variety is good, very good...
Ah, finally another comic like the first. My sadistic needs are fullfilled! I salute you sir!

TheAlbumAtrium, January 15th, 2012, 9:45 pm

Unsure
I don't know what the link does, or why the werewolf is at the bottom of the page, so I can only assume it will jump out at me to make up for the cat lady who didn't. Also, big fan, these drawings are amazing.

HABE, January 16th, 2012, 11:34 am

Sadly the java script on that is wonky and inconsistent.

Bloody-Rose97, August 5th, 2012, 10:22 pm

I thought that it was to keep her in her human form, that's clever, so her dad knew that if she didn't have the necklace she's end up killing people.
