You know about the Kickstarter for Unsounded, right?

Check out Ashley Cope's Kickstarter for a print copy of the stupendously fantastic Unsounded.

The funding is already wildly successful for good reason. That's a telling endorsement.

Unsounded is everything a great story should be and the best kind of brain food for creative comic zombies. Having a print copy on hand to flip through for snappy jolts of dialog, fabulous page layouts, and the inspiration/motivation that only comes from experiencing a work of true quality is about the best investment a comics fan or creator can make.

Don't you owe that to yourself? Go become a backer right now!

Go! Go! Go!

Story 4: Kallysta's Cross

*Spoilery*

This story began as an experiment to see if I could mimic, in brief, the response created in me by the pool scene in Let the Right One In. Instead, the hyper-excessive punishment for such minor offenses kind of shifts sympathy over to the bullies, which is interesting too. Now I want to turn this into the opening of a screenplay about werewolves prowling abandoned parts of Detroit. I've got (what I think) are some unique hooks that would be fun to play out in long form.

Story 3: Mum's the Word

It's time to break out the party games and tell another story. This one has a more traditional horror-comic flair (it was originally intended for the defunct Haunted Mansion tribute comic, but the characters were already spoken for) and will update Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Ashley Cope illustrates the whole shebang.

The latest guest has wandered off into the mansion, so your introduction to Sebille will have to come later.

Story 2: The Boys Outside My Window

Welcome back to The Midnight Tea Party.

A new guest has arrived. Say hello to Eris and view her profile in the Guest Gallery.

Eris was designed by Ashley Cope, who again caters the whole affair in the tea room.

The story this time is a summer blend called "The Boys Outside My Window" illustrated by Rem aka Tsulala on DeviantArt.

I'm going to pour this one out slowly, a few pages a week, to see if it might be more fun that way.

Story 1: The Witch's Scissors

Welcome to The Midnight Tea Party.

The Midnight Tea Party centers around a group of elegant lolitas gathered to socialize over sweets and to share their scariest stories. They'll present you with a complete tale in every update, each illustrated by a different artist.

Tonight, Ashley Cope sets the table with her delectable illustrations of Arcana and your fellow guests in the tea room. Ashley has more treats on the menu for future episodes too.

Next, Alana Yuen conjures the ideal ambiance with her artwork for "The Witch's Scissors" -- a special one-time color comic to make your first visit here a more haunting experience.

And don't overlook the Guest Gallery. Peruse the portraits and consider adding one of yourself. After all, you are the most important guest here!

I think it'll take three episodes before you get a feel for where I'm going with this anthology, so I hope you'll come back for a refill.
